BigYellowBag® Empty Bag Return & Reuse Program
Here at BigYellowBag, we’re continually committed to reducing our environmental impact, and we know our customers care deeply about sustainability too. Reusing and properly recycling empty bags is one of the simplest and most impactful ways we can work together to lessen our footprint.
As part of our ongoing commitment to community and the environment, we’re excited to share an updated version of our Empty Bag Return Program. For every empty bag returned, a donation will be made to United Way or to local community groups, as noted in the list below.
Thank you for helping us give back and grow greener, one bag at a time.
Home Collection
Our BigYellowBags are yours to keep, however in an effort to reuse and recycle, we will gladly collect your empty bag(s) when we return to your house during a future delivery. Just make sure your bag is clearly visible and accessible upon our arrival. Note: We do not charge a deposit on our bags.
Drop & Donate
If you do not want to keep the empty BigYellowBag, we are happy to offer some more locations where you can drop off your empty bag at any time through-out our season. For all empty bags dropped off at the locations below, we will donate $5 to the charity/organization listed. Just click on your drop-off city below to see the locations available in your area at this time. Note: We do not charge a deposit on our bags.
